💰 Daily Rate: HKD $900 per Event / Shift (Flat rate, inclusive of meal & travel allowance)

Experiences Hong Kong is seeking active, responsible university students to serve as Onsite Event Managers for upcoming University Orientation Camps (OCamps) and event days at Camptopia. This role offers direct event coordination, active facility management, and leadership experience in a supportive outdoor environment.

📌 Contract Details

  • Shift Duration: Typically 14:30 – 22:30 per event day (8 hours per shift).
  • Compensation: HKD $900 per day (calculated as $100/hr base + $100 daily travel & meal allowance included).
  • Onsite Orientation: Guided walkthrough with Jeff and Teddy on your first assigned event day.

📌 Core Mandates & Operational Checklist

Onsite managers are responsible for managing venue protocols live on-scene. Please review our digital Onsite Event Manager Checklist for itemized daily duties.

  • Event Leadership: Act as the main onsite contact for ExperiencesHK and student ExCo organizing teams.
  • Active Supervision: Perform hourly inspections to monitor water conservation, waste control, and campfire safety.
  • Security & CCTV: Coordinate with Team Lead Teddy to monitor entrance gate access and camera feeds.
  • Diplomatic Liaison: Manage decibel levels and campfire protocols, exercising sound judgment.
  • Closing Procedures: Prompt organizers at 21:30 to wind down; ensure amplified sound stops by 22:00.
  • Physical Support: Assist with setting up 3m x 3m marquees, adjusting safety mats, and arranging audio gear.
  • Guest Relations: Greet incoming guests and bridge language barriers (onsite crew do not speak Cantonese).
  • Media Capture: Take photos and short video clips during hourly rounds for director updates.
  • Workspace: Operate comfortably in outdoor conditions, with access to a private, air-conditioned office containing the CCTV feed.

📌 Candidate Profile

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate student at a Hong Kong university.
  • Fluent in Cantonese and English (essential for handling guest and organizer communications).
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in summer heat.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and dependable punctuality.
